A little about me

Though I wasn’t born in Austin, I got here as soon as I could! Originally came to the area to attend the Art Institute of Austin with dreams of one day landing a career that could see my love for technology & science alongside my lifelong passion of music. However, as it so often does, life had other plans and I found myself pursuing a more “practical” career path after being misled to the conclusion that this was not a career that a living could be made from.

The COVID pandemic was a turning point in my life, as it made me realize how precious time is. I decided to reignite my passion for audio . It felt like fate when I learned that Austin Community College had recently opened state-of-the-art audio facilities at its Highland campus, just two miles from where I lived. I seized the opportunity, fully immersing myself in my studies, and ultimately graduated with several Associates degrees including Audio Engineering, Digital Composition, and Live Sound & Stage Production. I also earned a handful of certificates and gained invaluable industry experience through ACC’s partnerships with SXSW and ACL music festivals.

After graduating from ACC, I found myself with a huge wealth of knowledge but a little lost on how to translate that into a career. While I did get a lot of experience in live sound and do enjoy that line of work, I was far more interested in working directly with artists as a recording and mixing engineer. Enter The Recording Conservatory of Austin. I am currently halfway through their  program and have enjoyed getting a ton of hands-on experience working alongside artists turning their creative ideas into polished final products. I have worked with several local artists and was also blessed to work several sessions with a Texas hip hop legend, ESG (original Screwed Up Click), even landing my first album credit on .

My journey may have had some twists and turns, but I am now more driven than ever to make my mark in the world of audio and music production. Currently, I’m steadily working on projects in the studio and  continuing to hone my craft. When I’m not learning or working on projects, you can find me enjoying a shows from one of my favorite artists, testing out the latest plugin or piece of tech, experimenting with new sounds in Ableton, or spending quality time with my wife and our beloved fur babies, Hero, Hera, and LB.
